Review & Description

The Tonneau-style case is easily one of the dressiest forms a watch can take. It speaks volumes about a person’s taste and knowledge of horologic history, as well as their penchant for individuality because it breaks a common standard of round or square case designs. In fact, it is almost a blend of both worlds! Stuhrling Original’s Millennial Series is home to a collection of watches that bear the name “Millennia,” and each one of these timepieces features a Tonneau-style case, and here to break new ground is the Millennia Savant. While each Stuhrling timepiece bearing the Millennia name has a unique personality, the Millennia Savant stands out from the rest because it is the first watch in our entire collection that boasts a rarely seen trait in watchmaking: tinted crystals. The Savant’s bold sandwich-style case in and of itself makes for an excellent presence on the wrist; the bulging sides of the Tonneau shape makes this watch play much larger, and along with the blaze of color in the crystals, this timepiece is nothing short of supremely eye-catching! Keep in mind that while the Millennia Savant has a sporty feel because of its new design and color scheme, it is still a mechanical automatic watch powered by an exposed movement that brings you back to the classic era of watchmaking! This timepiece comes equipped with a very comfortable and casual leather strap, dual-colored to match the execution, and padded down the center to add to the layers and detail and style. All around the center of the dial are individually hand applied Arabic numerals and baton-style markers: an extra touch of attention to complete the Millennia Savant. The Tonneau-style case is easily one of the dressiest forms a watch can take.
